Q: Is there an event trend or décor theme you would like to see used more in the coming year?
A: Sustainability! I love that more and more clients are looking to use décor from sustainably managed vendors and partaking in actions such as donating food and flowers after events.
Q: How did you end up working in hospitality? Did you always see yourself working in this industry?
A: The summer going into my junior year of high school, I attended a summer camp focused on hotel and hospitality management and have envisioned myself working in events ever since.
Q: What is something people might not know about you?
A: I’m very passionate about nutrition and fitness. I was even a nutrition minor in college and strive to continuously use the knowledge I learned to be mindful in both my work and personal lives. I also love to stay active. I have done it all from cross fit to kickboxing, running, tennis, yoga, Pilates, and everything in between.
Q: What is your favorite part about working for Corinthian Events?
A: Definitely the people. It’s funny because of how intimidating they all seemed on my first day, but are all the nicest, most supportive, and welcoming group of guys and gals I know.
Q: If you could switch jobs with anyone at Corinthian Events for a day, who would it be and why?
A: Probably Rachel. I took so many creative writing courses in high school and college; I think it would be so fun to create professional blog posts and give the writing your own personal flare.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Boston or Newport?
A: Committee in the Seaport! I love anything with burrata, and the Committee Mule is delicious.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, event-related or not?
A: “Growth comes out of discomfort.” Always making sure you are pushing your limits so you can grow as a person and come out stronger because of it.
Q: Did you have a dream job growing up? If so, what was it?
A: I had so many dream jobs growing up, none of which were even remotely related to the hospitality industry. A few of them included being a teacher, doctor, clinical dietitian, and a psychologist.
Q: Outside of work hours, what is something you enjoy doing?
A: I love to read. I regularly update my Goodreads accounts with my current reads and yearly reading goals.
